Who we Are

Bearcat Discovery Center first opened its doors in 1996 with the mission to provide high-quality care and education for young children. The Bearcat Discovery Center works to empower children, promote individuality, and develop strong partnerships with families within an environment that helps children achieve and maintain physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being, preparing them for and supporting their school readiness and success.

Partnerships between families and the Center are essential to the growth, development, and health of the individual child. We strive to create and promote these strong partnerships with families and create a sense of community that is thoughtful, warm, and compassionate.

Pre-School Program

Our year-round Preschool Program welcomes children ages 2–5. We promote learning through hands-on, age-appropriate exploration and play that build school readiness skills.
Our teachers create engaging learning experiences that support each child’s growth—social, emotional, cognitive, and physical. Children are encouraged to explore, create, discover, ask questions, and problem-solve in a safe, supportive environment.
