Pre-School Program
Our Preschool program is crafted to foster the comprehensive development of each child, offering age-appropriate, interactive learning experiences. The curriculum revolves around subjects that capture the children's interests, encouraging growth through the exploration of various topics.
Aligned with the California Preschool Framework and Foundations, our program defines the competencies, encompassing knowledge and skills, that children are anticipated to acquire in a top-tier preschool setting during their initial one or two years. These foundations outline the typical learning milestones for young children with suitable guidance. With the Second Step social-emotional curriculum, students build the core competencies needed to make connections and thrive including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. The research-based Handwriting Without Tears program is used to develop fine motor skills and make learning fun.
Utilizing the Foundations as a roadmap, we conduct assessments twice annually to gauge the progress of preschoolers toward these competencies. Our ultimate objective is to ensure that preschoolers are well-prepared for the transition to TK or Kindergarten, and equipped with the essential skills for their academic journey.
