Preschool Needs

We ask that children wear comfortable play clothes. Our children work hard in their play
and often get messy and dirty. Children should wear comfortable shoes that they can run
and climb in. No flip-flops or high heels please. Sandals must have a back strap. Please send
a change of clothing marked with your child’s name to keep in your child’s cubby.

A cubby is provided for your child’s personal belongings. You will also have a parent file for
your child’s sign-in and sign-out sheet and other important information.

While many children nap every day, some children begin to outgrow their need for a nap.
No child will be forced to go to sleep, nor forced to stay awake. We are required by licensing
regulations to offer each child a rest period. Our quiet rest time is from 12:00 pm – 2:00
pm. Each child will be supplied a cot, sheet and blanket. A child may bring a favorite
blanket or cuddly stuffy if that is preferred. We do not allow pillows or large blankets, as
they cannot completely fit inside your child’s cubby. Sheets and blankets are washed
